Our Toastmaster was Mercedes, on her
maiden voyage as toastmaster, with the theme “International Women’s Day”.
Our Pro Tem President today was Jean,
standing in for Randy.
Our G.A.T.E. Team was:
Grammarian
– Nancy C. Our word of the day was “Transcend”
Ah
Counter - Jung
Timer
– Uliana
We
didn’t have a General Evaluator, but our guest Daniel, a former TM from another
state, gave us a thorough critique.
Our Speakers were Julie (Best
Speaker) with Can We Just Show a Little Love and Jim with a reading of Robert
Frost’s poem Blueberries.
Our Table Topics
Master
was Jean and her theme was Pretend You Are a Salesman and a joke sendoff for
each speaker.
Table Topics Speakers were Nancy, Kathy, Daniel
(Best Table Topics), Tobias and Dan.
Our Evaluators were Lynne (Best
Evaluator) and Tobias.
Our Impromptu Humorist was Uliana
Announcements:
1.
We
need another evaluator for next week’s contest. Tobias stepped forward.
2.
On
March 28th, we will have a Table Topics Extravaganza and
accompanying party. We will have one at the end of every quarter.
3.
Step
forward to help with the party. You get credit in your Competent Leader
workbook for Project 6, 8, or 10.
4.
Your
dues are due! Please give a check or $55 made out to Public Speaking Northwest
to Jim. After March 15th, your check goes to Lynne.
