Announcements: 

Big Welcome to Leya for being our newest member!


We will have our October 4th In-Person meeting at:

McMenamins Anderson School in the Thorndike Room

Our Sergent at Arms and zoom host Barb, promptly opened the meeting on time with our mission statement, flag salute, and reminded members and guests that the speech and evaluation part of our meeting are recorded. 

 

Our President Mara opened the meeting. Our VPE Nancy reviewed roles for the next meeting, provide us with the Learning Minute, and introduced the Toastmaster.

Speech Opening Techniques

1. State the importance of your topic.

Our Toastmaster (and rapper) was Dan Our theme was "The Power of Music". 

Our GATE Team was:

General Evaluator - Nancy

 

Our Speaker today was Mara. Her speech is entitled “Financial Literacy for the Next Generation”. She is working on her Presentation Mastery Pathway, Level 5, Prepare to Speak Professionally (8-10 mins)

 

 Our Evaluators were Barb (evaluating Mara)

 

Our Table Topic Master was Meera

 

Our Table Topic Speakers were:

Warren, Nitin, Nancy, Marcus, Leya, and Jim all shared stories relating to our theme of the day.

 

Members in Attendance were Lynne, Lynn, Jean, Julie, Warren, Mara, Nancy, Jim, Dan, Meera, Barb, Robert, Nitin, and Leya

 

Guest(s) in Attendance were Arthur Krull (Lynne’s friend and returned twice) and Marcus (a new visitor but not new to Toastmasters)
