Meeting Minutes

June 9, 2020

 

1.    We congratulated Jim on completing level 5 on his Presentation Mastery Path.

2.    We had our mentor/protégé ceremony for Jim and Adilene.

3.    We had our election for 6-month terms beginning 7/1/2020

a.    Barbara Katz will be president.

b.    James Tracy will be treasurer

c.    Jean Tracy will be secretary

d.    Lynne will be sergeant at arms

e.    Kate Morris will be vice president of membership

f.     Nancy will be vice president of education

g.    Nancy will stand in as vice president of PR

 Our Meeting Toastmaster was Lynne with the theme Donald Duck’s Birthday.

Our President Jean opened our meeting and held our election.

 Our Gate Team was:

Grammarian – John

Word of the day: Osmotic

Ah Counter – Adilene

Timer - Kate

General Evaluator – Jim

 Our Speaker was Jim. (Warren had been scheduled, but his computer had other ideas.) Jim jumped in with the very last speech in his path “Why are you here?”

 Our Evaluator was Jean.

 Our Table Topics Master was Nancy with Birthday themed questions

 Our Table Topic Speakers were Kate, Robert, Satya and John

 Our Humorist was Nancy.

 Our Members in Attendance were Lynne, Jean, Nancy, Kate, John, Adilene, Jim, and Robert.  

 Our Guests in Attendance Satya

Announcements:

1.    We would like you to be our Public Relations VP. Please let Jean know if you are interested.

2.    Our election of club officers for the next 6 months will be done in June.

Our Meeting Toastmaster was Nancy with the theme Limericks.

Our President Jean opened our meeting.

Our Gate Team was:

Grammarian – Kate (Kate did a screen shot of her word of the day and used it as her virtual background as well as posting it in the Chat. Brilliant.)

Word of the day: Optimistic

Ah Counter – Kate

Timer - Jutta

General Evaluator – Lynne

Our Speaker was Jim with Engaging your changing.

Our Evaluator was Warren.

Our Table Topics Master was Nancy, a last-minute stand-in, using lines from limerics.

Our Table Topic Speakers were Kate about grass, Jean about tomatoes, Jutta about flowers and Lynne about oranges and lemons.

Our Members in Attendance were Lynne, Jean, Nancy, Jutta, Kate, Warren, and Jim.

Our Guests in Attendance Sadly, we had none.
