4, 2017
Our Toastmaster was Hadaya for his
very first flight as toastmaster! His theme was April Fools.
Our President Randy opened our
meeting.
Our Gate Team was:
Grammarian – Jean with the word “Empathy”
Ah Counter - Barb
Timer – Jung
General Evaluator - Warren
Our Speakers were Hillary (tie
for Best Speaker) with Is Your Tax Refund a Good Thing?, Nancy C (tie for Best
Speaker) with The Science of Earthquakes, and Amritha with Meet Sally, Meet #1040.
Our Evaluators were Randy, Lynne
and Jim (Best Evaluator).
Our Table Topics
Master
was Gary (for his very first time) with Zen Master philosophical questions.
Our Table Topic
Speakers
were Warren, Julie, Randy, Barb, Jim, Steve, Emory, Jean (Best Table Topics)
and Lynne.
Announcements:
1.
Toastmasters
District Conference is May 20th. PSNW will pay for the registration
($109) for one of our members who has never been to a district conference. Please
let one of our club officers (Randy) know that you want to participate. We will
hold a drawing at our April 25th meeting.
2.
In
two weeks, April 18th, we will have an Open House. Jung will coordinate our food. Let Lynne know
if you are interested in doing the decorations. Let Julie know if you are interested
in helping with PR.
3.
Nancy
will be absent on April 25th and needs someone to take the minutes
and email them to our membership. Please contact Nancy if you can take the
minutes at that meeting.
