Public Speaking Northwest Celebrates Halloween with Table Topics!

Imagine a toastmaster Halloween meeting about witches, werewolves, and the full moon. I’ll share our spooky fun with pictures in a moment.

Toastmaster Barb welcomed Yanhong, Jan Z., Tracy, Juliet, Tom, Jamie, Kate, Jan S., Jerry, Mihaela, Pierce, Casey, Kyle, Ana, Jean, and guest, Joanne.

Each member had two and one-half minutes of Table Topic time to speak off the cuff and add to the following story.

The Halloween Story

Toastmaster Jean, also known as Matilda, the witch, lost her lovely puppy, Wolfy, also known as Griffey. He was cursed by the most evil werewolf of all to become a wicked werewolf too. Wolfy could only be saved if members tossed their spiders, lizards, and snakes into the caldron which was placed in the center of the table.
The Caldron

Those who missed the caldron had to howl at the moon as Wolfy’s claws, fur, and fangs grew longer. There were lots of misses and Wolfy began to morph into a werewolf with each passing minute.

The members who aimed well were supported by everyone chanting from William Shakespeare:
Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn and caldron bubble.

Joanne, Jan S., Kate, Jamie, Tracy, and Casey aimed well to help make the precious potion in the caldron an antidote for Wolfy.

Here are the pictures from our Open House Halloween Party:
