Meeting Minutes - March 2, 2021
Announcement: So far only 9 members have renewed and 1 of the payment came in without a recognizable name. Glenn said it’s most likely him.
Our Sergeant at Arms, Lynne, promptly opened the meeting on time with our mission statement and flag salute.
Our President Barb introduced the Toastmaster.
Our Toastmaster was Jean with the theme “March Forth”
Our GATE Team was:
Grammarian - Jean
Word of the day - Aspiration - Jean, Lynne, Warren, Glenn, Barb, Mara, Kate, Jim, and Kristin used the word today
Ah Counter - Midori
Timer - Warren
General Evaluator - Jim
Our 1st Speaker was Glenn with his speech entitled “Absorb, Discard, and Add”. He is working on his Presentation Mastery Pathway (5-7 mins)
Our 2nd Speaker was Giri with his speech entitled “Effortlessly Unlocking Your Creativity”. He is working on his Motivational Strategies Pathway; Level 3 (5-7 mins)
Our Evaluators were Mara (evaluating Giri) and Barb (evaluating Giri).
Our Table Topic Master was Kate.
Our Table Topic Speakers were:
Nancy, How do you start your day? What part helps start your day? And how has it evolved throughout the years? During her college years, she would drag herself out of bed. During the young professional years, she would do a quick drive-thru for breakfast and rush to work. And now, she lays in bed and connects with her Chakra. She resists the urge to look at her phone.
Kristin, If you could change your career, what career would you aspire to do? She would work in a non-profit even though it’s a pay cut. Maybe volunteer in mental illness and get a Project Management Degree.
