Officer’s Meeting

2, 2018
Our
president pro tem, Janell, called the meeting to order.
Also
in attendance were Nancy, Jean, Julie, Lynne, Julia, Uliana.
1.
Julia had stepped in to the role of sergeant
at arms, gave us the details about her capabilities within the role.
2.
Jean reported she sent an email about
scheduling officers training. She also gave us the report about speaking
progress in our club, our club’s speaking goals, and achievements. Plans for
future special meetings – awards party will be deferred to February.
3.
Janell was looking for a deputy, since Giri
was not seen for long time at the meetings. Lynne had volunteered to be the
deputy.
4.
Nancy reported how she advertised our club in
several media platforms, also proposed to format better our Facebook page.
Other proposition was to put links to our FB page to the minutes email. Propositions were accepted.
5.
Uliana raised the concern with the new
minutes’ format taking a lot more efforts comparing to its yielding benefits.
Decided to try it for a month and see.
6.
Julia
raised a question about not giving out “the best speaker” award, the
proposition was not supported.
The
meeting was stopped because of time constrains.
