Meeting Minutes

August 18, 2025

 Announcements:

• We need a Speaker, an Evaluator, Timer, Ah Counter, and Humorist next week, Aug 26^th. Go to https://docs.google.com/document/d/16thcxdcU0xxWlLNVq3lzKutu6x5Tv3WWkpIknM1wkDg/edit?tab=t.0 to sign up.
•  Maria completed level 1 of Engaging Humor.

 

Our Toastmaster was Turtle with the theme Reframing.

Our Sergeant at Arms Katie called our meeting to order.

Our President Pro Tem Nancy opened our meeting.

Our Gate Team was:

Grammarian – Turtle

Word of the day was Perspective

Ah Counter – Nancy

Timer - Maria

General Evaluator – Warren

 Our Speaker was Kelly with her path review speech, marking the end of the Persuasive Influence path.  

 Kelly’s Evaluator was Nadine.

 Our Table Topics Master was Katie with questions regarding reframing.

 Our Table Topic Speakers were Nancy, Maria, Warren, Kelly, Turtle, Anvitha, and Nadine.

 No Humorist today

 Members in Attendance were Katie, Turtle, Warren, Nadine, Maria, Kelly, Nancy

 Guests in Attendance were Alex and Anvitha. Gabriel and Manasa dropped off before they could be introduced.

President:  Theresa Started our meeting and there were no guests. 

Our Sergeant at Arms:  Katie called our meeting to order. 

VPE Nancy Meeting Roles and Education Minute:  Nancy referred us to an article in Toastmasters Magazine “Take Your Presentation Skills to Work.” https://www.toastmasters.org. Magazine/ magazine=issues/2024/APR=bring-tm-skills-to-work . 

Toastmaster:   Kerry  with the theme “Winding  Down Summer” 

GATE TEAM 

Grammarian:  Nadine with the word of the day “Frolic” 

Ah Counter: Katie 

Timer –Bill  

General Evaluator: Nancy  

Our  1st speaker was Theresa with “If These Walls Could Talk.” 

Our 2nd Speaker was TK  with  “The Good Bahgawk” 

Evaluating Theresa’s speech was Kelly 

Evaluating TK’s speech was: Deanna 

Table Topics Master was Warren Table topics speakers were Deanna, Kelly, Nancy, Nadine and Kerry 

Our General Evaluator was Nancy

 Announcements:  Theresa welcomed our guest Kaira Jain

 Our President Theresa opened our meeting.  

VPE Theresa for Nancy:  Meeting Roles / Education Minute   The education minute was done by Katie, who discussed protocol for our in-person meetings. 

Grammarian:  Bill with phrase  of the day “  Lighten Up”
