Officers minutes, January 8, 2019

Officer’s meeting, january 8, 2019

Present: Lynne, Jim, Giri, Mara, Uliana, Nancy, Hilary, Julia.

#1 I was late, Mara will fill out - thank you Mara!

#2 Mara got the email as a club president from TM with advices about how to incorporate a wow factor to retain members. Mara asked us how to implement it. Jim said as an area director he knows we are at a  very good level. Mara will fill out the blanks in reply to the email. No other action will be taken.

#3 Lynne announced mentor’s meeting on January 22, before the regular meeting, at 10:45am.

#4 Officer’s training - Mara will send out the schedules. Nancy offered to distribute our club’s business cards at the training, so she gave us additional business cards at the meeting.

#5 Annual conference May 17 and 18, Meydenbauer Center, Bellevue - Nancy is going to compete on May 17.

#6 Treasury report. We do take credit cards, but via PayPal only. We have slightly more money at the club, but Hilary suggested to keep the money in case we need to rent the room. We could spend a bit more money on good prizes. At Amazon its cheaper than at TM site.

#7 To avoid “reply all” effect Uliana will try expand the list, and put it to BCC.

#8 To increase visibility of the minutes at FB Nancy will make Uliana an admin at FB.

#9 Nancy brought “new member” packet for us to see, also a pile of back up “words of the day”. Nancy cleaned and organized the black bin with useful docs. We discussed how we’d like to have these docs also online on our website where it's easy to find. Jim offered to save current words of the day and table topics in case someone forgets. No action was assigned.
