 September 2, 2025, Meeting Minutes   

President:   Theresa opened our meeting and noted we had no guests 

Our Toastmaster was TK with " Fall Reboot” 

Our Sergeant at Arms Katie, called our meeting to order 

VPE Next   Lynne for Nancy Meeting Roles and Education Minute.  Lynne shared information on the Brightwater Center where we meet in person on the first Tuesday of each month.  Brightwater opened in 2011. Besides being a waste treatment facility, there are several miles of walking/ hiking trails. The facility has classrooms used for environmental education and other classes.  The pipes run 9 miles and treated water goes to Puget Sound.  Tours of the facility are also conducted.

Our Toastmaster was Deanna.

Theme: On this day in history. She shared historical facts that happened on today, August 26^th.

Our Sergeant at Arms, Katie

 

VPE: Nancy tried to fill meeting roles. The education minute was Ask More and Better Questions Article and Podcast  a link she dropped into chat and I did not capture it…sorry.

 

GATE TEAM: 

Grammarian: TK. The word of the day was not a word. She asked us to use slang words from when we were sixteen, for example Rad Man.

Ah Counter – No ah counter. Small group of 7 people.

General Evaluator  - Katie

Our 1st Speaker  - Theresa, “If These Walls Could Talk.”

Our 2nd Speaker Deanna, “Effective Rental Property Management.” 

 

Evaluating Theresa was Kelly

Evaluating Deanna, she asked group to do a ‘round-robin’ style evaluation were we all gave her a 30 second evaluation.
