Board of Directors
Meeting
June 6nd,
2017
Our
president, Randy, presided over the meeting.
MOTION: Jim/Lynne - Motion
to approved revised meeting minutes from May 2, 2017. Motion was passed.
MOTION: A motion was made
and approved to place schedule slots on the website before and after meetings
to accommodate members who need/want to give their speeches on days when the
speaking slots are filled.
MOTION: Jim/Julie H – Motion
to have the club purchased CL manuals for members who have completed theirs.
The motion was passed.
MOTION: Jim/Nancy – Motion
to adjourn was passed.
1.
Filling the New
Board: Randy
will only be able to attend about half of the meetings in the next 6 months,
and therefore will not run for the president position on the board. Openings
are: president, VP of membership and secretary.
The board discussed who might be interested in these positions. Randy
would meet with these board members after the general membership meeting to ask
them to consider it.
2.
We
now have 32 members.
3.
Since
Julie will not be able to attend all toastmasters meetings, we will need
someone to run a laptop/projector.
4.
Julie
has been making videos and posting them on our FaceBook page.
5.
Meeting
next WEDNESDAY instead of Tuesday.
6.
In
May, we garnered 3 new members:
Sailaja, Janell and Anju.
7.
We
need to order badges. Many of us
have completed manuals: Jim his ACSALB, Nancy her CC, Randy his CL, Lynne her
CCALB, Anisha her CC, and Jung her CC.
In
attendance: Randy, Julie H, Jean, Jim, Jung, Hilary, Nancy, Mercedes and Lynne.
