June 17, 2025 TM meeting minutes William Hinrichs via Toastmasters Club 9406 ​members@publicspeakingnorthwest.com​ June 17, 2025, Minutes Announcements: Lynne opened the meeting by sharing how grateful and honored she was to be our president this year. She indicated, that as Toastmaster she would express her gratitude for the support she got from fellow officers later in the meeting. Lynne went on to explain that we would be electing new officers (Eff July 1,2025) at this meeting. The current officers had gathered a proposed slate of officers for consideration. She also mentioned that other nominations would be accepted, but none were offered. The following slate of officers was proposed: President: Theresa Haynes VP Education: Nancy Carpenter VP Membership: Maria Cubacha VP Public Relations: Kelly Fallucca Secretary: Bill Hinrichs Treasurer: Deanna Schroeder Sergeant At Arms: Katie Munoz The proposed slate, after being put forward by Bill, 2nd by Warren, was approved unanimously (13 votes). Toastmaster: Lynne with the theme “With Gratitude” Our Sergeant at Arms: Lynne for Katie called our meeting to order. Our President Lynne; opened our meeting. VPE Nancy Meeting Roles and Education Minute: Nancy referred us to a YouTube video. “How to Become a Great Storyteller” Lisa Nichols Speaking Technically Https://www.youtube.com/watch?y=-WA3rirFtuA GATE TEAM Grammarian: Turtle with the word of the day “Affirm Ah Counter Amy Timer –Natalia General Evaluator Maria Our 1st Speaker was Chirag with “Overview, Sourcing and Procurement Operations.” Our 2nd Speaker was Kelly with, “When the Boss is the Biohazard.” Evaluating Chirag’s speech was Warren Evaluating Kelly’s speech was Bill Table Topics Master was Theresa Table topics speakers were Deanna, Nancy and Marcus. Members in Attendance were Warren, Theresa, Bill, Lynne, Nancy, Marcus, Amy, Kelly, Deanna, TK, Maria, Chirag and Natalia. guests in Attendance: none Closing: Lynne reiterated her gratitude for serving with other committed officers and pointed out specifics of all the help she received this term. She also listed our accomplishments for the club. She mentioned finding our new in-person location at Brightwater, establishing a guest speaker policy, using the TI Self-Pay system. She also cited the strength of our club, which won 5 awards at the district 2 Spring Conference. Finally, she encouraged members to consider an officer position in the winter; and to know there would be plenty of support. Motion to adjourn: Bill 2nd Kelly
