Officer's meeting

June 18, 2019

Present: Jean, Julia, Nancy, Mara, Giri, Hilary, Uliana, Jim.

We created a new slate of officers to vote on. We welcomed Thenseena as a new member and already an officer - sergeant in arms. The new slate will take effect on July 1st, after the voting at the club.

Role - Previous officer, new officer.

President - Mara, Jean

VP of education - Jean, Nancy

VP of membership - Giri, Giri

Treasurer - Hilary, Hilary

VP of public relations - Nancy, Mara

Sergeant at arms - Julia, Thenseena

Secretary - Uliana, Uliana.

Nancy suggested to get rid of roles board in the back because not a lot of people are doing it anyway, and it doesn't serve the purpose of encouraging people to take roles as was originally intended to. We agreed.

Jean offered to order a prize for the reward party coming up. Hilary said she shouldn't decide how to spend the money, but she can buy it if the group decides on what to buy. Jean offered to go to the trophy shop. Jean hesitated to nominate ourselves for the trophies, but she felt like the people that deserve trophy the most are the club officers. The officers didn't mind. Mara and Jean will decide in private about trophies. (My guess is that the club members wouldn't mind either, or wouldn't care enough anyway. Except for Robert - I think he deserves a trophy too).

Because we have more and more money accumulated in our TM account, we want to spend it on rewarding members, maybe bring a cake. Nancy will bake a gluten-free cake, and buy ingredients with TM money.

Jean asked us who is a contact person for our club - we said Giri as a VP of membership. Giri said we need to recruit more people now, even though we have a lot of new members. Giri will be gone to Africa for 3 weeks in summer. We can still communicate with him via email. Devi is back as a member, Emery is still in contact with us, but still can't attend.
