Officer's Meeting Minutes, April 3, 2018
Present: Randy, Nancy, Julia, Lynne, Uliana.
Randy had 3 things to discuss.
1.
Pathways sign up for everybody, even if you don’t plan to do it
yet, just take the assessment in Pathways, especially if you are a mentor.
Assessments results may surprise you. Will make an announcement about it for
everyone.
2.
In May 19 we celebrate club’s 15th birthday! Let’s celebrate
on Tuesday May 15th as a bday party! Jean will have a signup sheet.
Nancy suggested have speakers talk about celebration, TT too. Accepted.
3.
Randy suggested we change our timing rules matching the contest
rules – after the red light comes up – no more lights come up, just to get use
to the rules. Jim added a new timing sheet to the notebook. Accepted.
Giri was not here, so we went over the list of renewed/not
renewed memberships. Discussed one by one the reasons behind not renewal –
mostly was work related, and not connected to our club reasons. Or so they said
at least J
Julia suggested attracting more young people. Nancy offered to advertise in colleges – Bothell UW and Cascadia. Randy came up with an idea to
have our TM meeting at the college sometimes, invite students. Nancy will
connect with the folks at UW, and set up the meeting there.
Nancy reported that she had updated links in Meetups and our
website to go to our new FB page.
Lynne offered to reserve a chair for Robert in the middle of the
room to videotape our speeches. Sergeant in arms should make sure nobody sits
there. Barb may substitute Robert while he’s absent. Accepted.
