Officers’s meeting  minutes

Present: Jean, Mara, Giri, Lynne, Nancy, Uliana.

We want CCs and CLs be finished for the points. We shouldn’t push Hilary with more duties, she
needs to have time to prepare speeches.

Remember to like minutes and photos on FB! Uliana sends the FB link in every email, so use it,
share, like the page. Uliana will remind the readers to do that too. 

Jean asked Mara to create a video out of our club photos to promote the club. We have a Halloween
party in 2 weeks, so Mara will create a flyer.

Giri encouraged us all to invite our family, friends, and neighbors to visit the club. Lynne acknowledged
that bringing your network is the most effective way to attract guests. Whoever brings 1 guest will
put 1 entry in the lottery bin to win $25 of Amazon certificate. Everyone agreed. Returning guest
counts as 2 guests. We could do the drawing twice a year - fall and spring. But vote collection would
go year around. 

Mara offered to reach people with English second language. Giri objected, he wanted diversification
in a club. Giri offered to advertise to local businesses and universities, and even create an education
event for them. Jean asked Giri to put an add in the local newspapers. He can get help from Nancy who knows how to do it because she’s done it before.

AP - Halloween party on October 29.

AP - announce to everyone to bring a guest to enter $25 drawing.

District 4 of toastmasters has a lot of useful info about Pathways. 

Roles on Halloween party - Mara toastmaster, Giri - Table topics, Jean - a chair, we need a 
decorator and a food coordinator. We wear costumes. 

Uliana will bring “speak up” signs for the club to vote.

However from the trustworthy sources it is known for certain that there were 4 contestants:

Miho, Karl, Kate, Nancy.

1 place - Kate,
2 place - Nancy.

They say food was also yummy.
