Officer's meeting, August 6, 2019

Officer’s meeting August 6, 2019

Present: Jean, Jim, Nancy, Mara, Uliana, Giri.

Once a week one of the officers will practice connecting a laptop to the room for the slides, so we’d all learn. Jim has updated the list of steps for connecting. We need to bring our own laptops to connect.

Nancy offered to create a calendar for the year with the known events, like Xmas, white elephant, Halloween, so on. 

Those on CL need to fill out their leadership for club points.

Mara and Giri reported their efforts.

Thenseena can’t attend anymore (at least for now), so we need a new sergeant at arms. Officers will take rotation (Nancy’s first) filling out the duties, waiting for fall when Thenseena’s schedule will change.

Next party ideas - jean offered some ideas, storytelling got the most interest. We thought about mid-September. Uliana will look for the officer’s minutes with the tentative fall schedule, and send it to the officers. 

We do have enough points to get President’s Distinguished. We need to follow up with Thenseena whether or not she completed the training. Jim will follow up. All other officers completed the training. 

We accept payment with cash, checks, PayPal. Jim took us all through the new member form so we all could help new members, not just Giri alone. We practiced filling it up. Mara will practice connecting the laptop first.
