Officer's meeting

July 2, 2019

Present: Jean, Mara, Nancy, Thenseena, Hilary, Uliana

Jean presented the list of books to buy as presents for officers. We voted yes. Robert will be included in the list of awards. Hilary explained that we had to vote since the books are relatively expensive (more than 10% of the budget). Also Hilary will report on our budget twice a year - in June and December. Hilary will discuss with Jean where to post the report.

Jean asked each one of us how we can help with being the best officer. We discussed Meetups, Facebook, and membership. Thenseena said she’s feeling ok with taking  the sergeant at arms. We discussed that everyone should be able to greet the guests, and place them, make them feel welcome. 

The awards party. Nancy will look up the winners to prepare questions for the interviews. The party is on July 30. We need a chair of the party, the decorator, the food. The party won’t have speeches, or TT, we’ll just interview the winners and the officers. 

Nancy reported the new timer sheet, and the list of officer’s training schedules. We were thankful for these. Nancy presented the roles draft. Hilary had the longest list. She didn't mind, just asked not to add anything. The list of roles is helpful at transition times. It can be modified at any time. We’ll have this document on our website.
