Officer's Meeting Minutes, March 6, 2018

Present: Nancy, Julia, Giri, Hilary, Uliana, Jim, Randy, Jean.

There will be competition in the club next week – we have 3 speakers, 1 evaluator,  we need to get more evaluators. 3 speeches will compete, 3 evaluators will compete, only 1 randomly selected speech will be evaluated.

Advanced club starts on Sat march 17, 8:15-9:45am at Zamani Dance studio. Every 4^th Sat of the month. At least 6 speeches should be done by speakers to be eligible to participate.

Only a couple of officer’s meetings are left before we need to change our officers. Randy won’t be our president next term, we need to look for a new one. All other officers can remain the same if they choose.

Jean raised Lynne’s concern that some people don’t get their emails from us. We need to ask Hillary to double check the emails of Randy, Barb, Thenseena. Create a list of emails, let it circulate on meetings to double check.

Time constraint is the same for all speakers, if they run over, they disqualify.

Question was raised about voting for the best speaker – voted to keep things as is.

Hillary sent “welcome Shankar” email, did he get this email? Shankar found us via Meetups.

People do contact Nancy on Meetup. It has a link to our TM web page. Does it have our FB page link? We need to kill our old FB page. Emery created it, but forgot the password.

Hillary reported 9 more people paid. Giri took the responsibility to update email addresses of our club members.

Randy proposed to put officer’s duties descriptions to our web site. Everyone agreed, but no action was assigned due to the time.
